SkillsUSA is an effort to alleviate the skills shortage-and to ensure students learn the skills they will need to be successful in their careers-SkillsUSA is a driving force at the secondary and postsecondary levels. SkillsUSA understand the challenges instructors face as they prepare students to enter the work force, and SkillsUSA is there to help through specialized training programs and industry sponsored skills programs.
The programs that we usually do is:
- Construction
- Welding
- Drafting
- Electronics
It is a very good experience for the students to be involved in. Every year we send students over to Mid Plain Community College to compete in SkillsUSA . This year we are sending Taylor Linegar, Drew Bowers, and Justin Mousel to compete in welding.
